ANOTHER CLAN STEAMER ATTACKED
ENCOUNTER WITH TWO SUBMARINES LONDON, sth May. The Clan Macfadyen encountered two submarines in the Bay of Biscay. The first fired sixty shells at a range of fifty yards, hitting the Clan Macfadyen several time's, but not seriously. The liner, which is ( armed with a big gun, replied, and several shots hit the submarine, which it is believed sank.
