LODGE MEETINGS

The Rising Star Juvenile Temple, No^ 8, 1.0.G.T., held its weekly session oa Thursday evening, in St. Peter's Mis*j sion Hall, Taranaki-street, Sister MrsJ A. E. Roberts (the Superintendent) pre-j siding. The various items given bythW following members were much appreciated :—Bro.' F. Petherick, recitation j Bro. A. Haley, songs; Sisters G. Dum; can, P. Adams, Leah Roberts, B*.' M'Mlllan, and D. ; Roberts; recitations $ Sister M. Hanley, pianoforte solo: and! Sisters D. Roberts, M! Petherick,!.L.i Osborne, and D. ..M'Millan; songs., There were also some choruses, sung; .by-" the, chorus .boys. .. Sisters: .Mesdames Clanghton and Davidson, sisters -from the Lifeboat Light Lodge, of Timaru,,. were each accorded'a hearty welcome.. Sister Mrs. Claughton,- in responding, expressed her pleasure at being present, and remarked on the general good behaviour of the juvenile members. Sh« conveyed, to the Temple greetings frbn* the Bud of Promise Temple of Tunarn, and also gave ,the members some sound! advice on the subject of temperance.,: The greetings were, reciprocated... Davidson, from the life-boat Light /.Lodge, N<*- 101, 1.0.G.T.,, og Timaru.
