Among the soldiers who took part in the big engagement at Loos, .in Flanders, last October was Pte. Bert Folks, son of Mr. J. T Follas, of Palmerston. Pte. Follas belonged to the. Ist Welsh Regiment, which was among those who bore the brunt of the fighting. Mr. Follas has made continual enquiry since that engagement, but so far has been unable to obtain any definite news of hie son, except that he is "missing."
