LODGE MEETINGS
Pride of Brooklyn Lodge, No. 58, U.A.0.D.. met in the Masonic Hall, Brooklyn, last week. Bro. Laughton reported on the recent conference between the friendly societies and the doctors of Wellington. This report was received, and a vote of thanks was passed to BroLaughton. The' balance-sheet for the half-year was received, together with the auditors' report, both of which were adopted. Officers were installed as follow by D.P. Bro Austin:—Arch Druid, Bro. Hunter; V.A.D.. Bro. Cronk; secretary, Bro. Bowden; treasurer Bro Boddyi; 1.G., Bro. Frost; 0.G., Bro. Mehane; A.D.B.'s, Bros. Doney and Bedenall; Y.A.B.'s, Bros. Sim and Wallace; trustees, Bros. Curzons and Wallace; J.P.A., Bro. Ouraons; press reporter, Bro. Doney. A vote of condolence was passed, in silence, to Bro. Reid on the death of his wife.
The half-yearly summoned meeting of Court Epuni, A.0.F., was held last Friday.. C.R. Bro. Greenfield presiding. The following nominations for the various offices were received :—C.R., Bro. Smith, Pratley, F Sims, J. Coulter, W D. Hood, J. M'Dougail, Wm. Brown, G. A. Selwood, A. Chambers, G. Bowles, H. T. Ashcroft W. Patterson. T. August, C. H. Manning; P.D.C.R. Bro. Newell, on behalf of the court, presented P.C.R.'s Bro. Greenfield and Bro. Mudge with framed certificates and P.C.R.. neck ribbons. P.C.R. Bro. W. S. Smith was also presented with a case of pipes for proposing twenty new members. The cash recerots wp.vp. £127 6s 2d. !
