DOCTORS' INCREASED PEES.
(ir TELEGRAPH.—PRBS6 ASSOCIATION.^ AUCKLAND, This Day. The Hon. J. A. Hanan, in response to a request by a Friendly Societies' deputation, promised to bring under the notice of the Minister for Stamps a request that friendly societies should be exempt from stamp duty on receipts in regard to fees charged by friendly society I doctors. The deputation expressed a fear that the Wellington movement for increased fees would extend to Auckland, and the chairman expressed the opinion that the only solution of . the difficulty would be the nationalisation of the medical profession. The Minister promised to look into the representations.
