MOTOR-CYCLE ACCIDENT

RETURNED SOLDIER INJURED.

A serious collision occurred between a taxi-cab and a, motor-cycle outside the Palmerston North railway station, shortly after 11 o'clock this morning. The taxi was driven by William Dale, and the rider of the cycle was William Tennent, of AVanganui, who only returned from the front a fortnight ago. Tennent was thrown heavily to the ground, and suffered a double fracture to his right shin. His face was also seriously lacerated. The bicycle was badly damaged.
