ROSE AND CARNATION SHOW «» Rose-growers will be interested to learij that the Wellington Rose and Car nation Club intends holding its annual Rose Show at the Town Hall on Satui day, 13th November. Following the pre cedent of last year, the club again in tends devoting the proceeds to patriotic purposes, half of which will be handed to the Wounded Soldiers Fund and halt to a fund to provide rose plants for the public rosary at Newtown Zoo. Classes have been arranged that all growers may compete, surburban growers are we'll catered for, and there will be the competition for best decorated table, to be judged by ballot of the public present during the Show. " Prizes this year will include a handsome challenge silver cup, presented by Mrs. Arthur Pearce for the best collection of twenty-four blooms, also a silver challenge rose bowl, presented by Miss R. M. Joseph, which has been allotted for the best exhibit of twelve blooms. The club will have the valuable assistance of an enthusiastic committee of ladies, who will conduct the sale of pot plants, cut flowers, sweets, and afternoon tea in the interest of the funds during the afternoon and evening. tWhon you know that you have caught a cough or a cold promptly buy a bottle of Wilton's Old English Cough Linctus.
