ASSOCIATION COMMITTEE. The Management Committee of the Wellington Cricket Association met last night, when there were present : Messrs. C G. Wilson (chairman), Martin, Burton, Willis, Wills, Crombie, Fanning, and Gibb Donations were received from Messrs. J. P, Firth and A. T. Bate, who accepted office as vice-presidents. A deputation from the Boys' Cricket League asked if it would be possible for the league to receive some recognition from the association. The League had been in existence for ten years, and large numbers of its members had attained senior rank. This season the league will have eighteen senior and junior teams playing. The association promised to see that suitable wickets on the Basin Reserve were secured for the league, and also to see if something could be done in the way of providing coaches. Another deputation from the Boys' Institute Cricket Club requested reconsideration of its application to enter a senior team. The committee decided to acUaere to its previous decision, as eiglrt> senior teams had already been entered. PATRIOTIC MATCH. Arrangements were completed at the meeting of the Cricket Association Committee last night for the opening of the season on Saturday next with a match between Trentham Camp and Wellington in aid of the Troops' Christmas Cheer * . Fund. His Excellency the Governor will __ be present. Selections will be played " by the Camp Band, and during the afternoon tea interval an exhibition of bayonet fighting will be given. - Soldiers in uniform are to be admitted to the Reserve free. Following are the teams : — Trentham : Lieuts. Hunter, Saxon, Bemau, and Sneddon, Dempsey (n.c.o-), Sergt. Cameron, Cpl. Naughton, Ptes, H. Bennet and Sandman, and D. Hawkes and H. E. Ridley ; emergencies, Ptee. C. W. Bannerman, A. R. Bevins, F. Hawke, and A. Smith. Wellington: W. S. Brice (captain), W. A. Baker, E, M. Beechey, W. T. Bray, H. E. Burton, A. Cate, W R. L. Gibbes, J.
