CRICKET
♦ WELLINGTON v. TRENTHAM. At the Basin Reserve on Saturday next, a cricket match is to be played between a Wellington representative team and an eleven from the Trentham Camp. The, proceeds are to be devoted to the Soldiers' Christmas Gift Fund. The following will represent Trentham : — Lieuts. Hunter, Saxon, Bernau, and Sneddon ; Dempsey (n.c.0.), Sergt. Cameron, Cpl. Naughton, Ptes. H. Bennett, and Sandman ; D. Hawkes and H. E. Ridley; emergencies, Ptes. C. W. Bannerman, A. R. Bevins, F. 'Hawke, and A. Smith. WAREHOUSEMEN'S ASSOCIATION. At the annual meeting of the Warehousemen's Cricket Association last night it was decided to carry on throughout the ensuing season. The association was reported to be in a sound financial position, having a balance of £62 14s 5d to credit. It was decided to ' contribute £20 to the Mayor's Fund for Wounded Soldiers. Officers were elected as follow : — President, Mr. A. E. Kernot; vice-presidents, Messrs. Dalziell, J. P. Luke, Cable, Whitcombe, M*Vil]y, Page, and Inspector Hendry ; chairman, Mr. A- Simm ; secretary, Air. John Leddy.
