THE COUNTRY'S FINANCES
VERY SATISFACTORY. Sir Joseph Ward this afternoon submitted to Parliament 'figures regarding the finances for the past six months, and said that,, by comparison with the Estimates and figures in the Budget, the returns must be considered very satisfactory, as they were well within the estimates of the Budget.
