THE FATAL FIRE AT WHANGAREI
«. AN INQUEST WHAT THE MEDICAL EVIDENCE DISCLOSED. (BT TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) - WHANGAREI. This Day. The inquest on the victims of the Mapuna Hotel fire opened this morning, , before the Coroner. The medical evidence showed that Oxley, sen., died of suffocation, and that the boy Oxley had , four ' bullet wounds in his head, which did not cause instantaneous death. The boy had died from coma and suffocation, but would not have recovered from his wounds. yA revolver was found containing four exploded cartridges. The inquest is proceeding.
