LORD FISHER'S EXPERTS.
Admiral of the Fleet Lord Fisher of Kilverston© having been appointed Chairman of the Inventions Board established to assist the Admiralty in co-ordinating and encouraging scientific effort in relation to the requirements of the Naval Service, the following experts have been appointed as a committee :—: — Central Committee : Lord Fisher of Kilverstone, G.C.8., O.M. (president), Sir J. J. Thomson, 0.M., F.R.S., Hon. Sir C. A. Parsons, X.C.8., F.R.S., G. T Beilby, Esq., F.R.S. The Consulting Panel will comprise the following list : — Professor H. B. Baker, F.R.S. • Professor W G Bragg, F.R.S. Professor H. C. H. Carpenter. Sir William Crookes, O.M. F.R.S. W. Duddell, Esq., F.R.S. Professor Percy Frankland, F.R.S. Professor Bertram Hopkineon, F.R.S. Sir Oliver Lodge, F.R.S. Professor W. J. Pope, F.R.S.. Sir Ernest Rutherford, F!R.S. G. Gerald Stoney, Esq., F.R.S. Professor the Hon. R. J. Strutt, F.R.S. "The names of Lord Fisher's colleagues on the Inventions Board, which is to act as an advisory council to Mr, Balfour and the Admiralty, stand for the highest qualifications in the various branches of science and engineering with which they are connected," says The Times.
