ISLAND BAY CONCERT
Residents of the Bay and others are reminded in another column of the concert in the Assembly Hall on Thursday evening. An excellent programme is being provided by Madame MonkmanDempster and friends. Many of the items will be of a novel character. The proceeds are in aid of the new building fund of the local Presbyterian Church, the present building having recently been damaged by fire.
With a cargo of 2000 tons of coal, the Melbourne Steamship Company's collier Melbourne arrived in the stream tills afternoon from Newcastle. It is expected that the vessel will not come up to the nharf, but will, after examination by the Port Hoalth Officer, procci;4 to Mij«n« to dtodurs*
