The Napier Borough Council proceeded in the Magistrate's Court to-day against Turnbull and Jones, electrical en\gineers. and two of their employees, on a charge of tampering with an electric supply meter and tapping the city current, which was thus obtained without payment. The defence was that the connection was made by a careless employee. The evidence for the prosecution occupied all day, and the case was adjourned until to-morrow. *
