G. H. Scales, Ltd., mado her first appearance at Wellington this morning, having brought a part cargo of timber from Bunbury. Calls were made at Dunedin and Lyttelton to land portions of her cargo, and from this port she goes to Auckland to complete discharge The Hebburn is a fine type of four-masted single-screw steamer, having two nell decks and six hatches, attached to which are 19 derricks and 17 wkiches. The uniform size of the hatclis, so arranged that work may be carried on in each hatch practically at the same time, is a feature. She was built by the Blyth Shipbuilding Company Ltd., and launched in April last. Her principal dimensons are as follow :— Length, 075 ft; beam, 51ffc; depth, 27i£t; and gross tonnage, 3599 tons. Her engnes of 370 nominal horse-power, supplied by Messrs Richardson, Westgarth, and Co., Ltd., are capable of driving the vessel at a speed of 11 knots. On her maiden voyage the Hebburn loaded wheat at New York for the poor of Belgium, and discharged her cargo at Rotterdam, after which she proceeded to Middlesborough, loading railway iron and general cargo for Fremantle "tJLIMAROA DUE MONDAY NEXT Having left Sydney early on Thursday afternoon, the Ulimaroa should arrive here on Monday morning next.
