LAWN TENNIS
• VICTORIA COLLEGE CLUB. The report presented at the annual meeting of the Victoria University College Lawn Tennis Club, held recently, indicated that the past season had been a fairly successful one, and the balancesheet showed a substantial amount in hand. It was .unanimously decided to invest the sum of £30 in the New Zealand War Loan. A motion was also carried to the effect that the sum of one guinea should he donated to the Wilding Memorial Fund, and that the secretary should write to the association, recommending that the memorial should take the form of a challenge cup or shield or other trophy, to be compete^ for. Another motion was carried to the effect that the courts be thrown open to the use of all university students in camp. The following officers -were elected for the present season :—President, Professor Marsdenj vice-presi-dent, Mr. C. Atmore; secretary, Mr. G. M. Cleghorn; treasurer, Mr. J. R. Cuddie; committee, Messrs. Bruce, Broad, and Edmundson, and -Misses Atmore, Sievwright, and Still ; hon. auditor, Mr. L. Eichelbaum.
