The Legislative Council resumed at S o'clock laa*. night.. Technical amendments to the Finance
Bill were brought down by Governor's Message and were agreed to. The Auctioneers Amendment Bill and Railways Authorisation Bill were put through all stages and passed Certain amendments made by the tioners Amendment Bill, received from the Statutes Revision Committee, it was strongly urged that the provision inserted providing that King's Counsel should not be allowed to practise as solicitors be deleted. The Hon O. Samuel supported the The Hon. J D Ormond supported the Leader's view, but the Hon. J. T. Paul failed to see any irregularity in the A division was called for- and th» clause was struck out by 16 votes to 9.
