m A ballot for four sections w*s bold at the District Land Board yesterday. For the first section, Bartholomew Settlement, lievin (twelve acres), there were three applicante. W. M'F. M'Leod was successful A small section at Mangaweka was drawn by John O'Day, his wife being the only other applicants A section v of seventeen acree at Ohakune had three applicants, and was dra.wn by B. Keegan. For a section of the Haurangi deer forest (1430 acres) there were four applicants. The_ winner was A. W. Robertson A section at Hawtrey Settlement, Johnsonville, facing Baasefct-road, was sold to A. M'Mahon, the only applicant, the upeet price being £65.
