THE WORST FOE OF ALL
CHOLERA & TYPHUS RAGING IN GERMANY AND AUSTRIA ■ ROME, 10th September. . It is stated in relation to Austria and Germany putting out peace feelers, that it is impossible further to hide, the truth that cholera and typhus are raging in the Central Empires, and have grown to alarming proportions. In twenty days there were 7427 cases of cholera in Austria, whereof 3295 were fatal. Cholera ir widespread in Galicia, and typhus has a strong 1 hold in Upper and Lower Austria. The mortality in Germany is alarming. The efforts to combat the disease. are inadequate/ and the contamination is spreading.
