BROOKLYN HARRIERS AND A.A. CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the club were the guests of Mrs. "\V. Reynolds and Mrs. Moore, at the Taita Hotel. About forty members and supporters journeyed out by motor lorry. C. Willis',and W. Coop laid the trail, _ which followed the hills south for a mile, then crossed to the river, and followed this north for acouple of miles. ' The road was reached about half a mile from the hotel, and was followed back to the start. The main pack started about five minutes after the paper left, and was again fol* j lowed by a fast pack, who held a nonstop run. The run-in over 200 yards ! was wort by Exton, with B. Hoverd second, and C.. Cummins third. N. Cumminb, followed by Hutton, Douglas, and I Mio, was first .home of the fast pack. The club afterwards sat down to tea, followed by music. Mr. Harlen thanked Mrs. Reynolds and Mrs. Moore for the pleasant ' afternoon they had provided. The journey was then made back to town, the pack arriving about 7 o'clock.

The afternoon was one of the most pleasant in the annals of the club. SCOTTISH CLUB. The Scottish Harriers, who were the guests, of Mr. A. E. M. Rowlands at Karaka Bay on Saturday, did not muster as strong as Usual. The outing took the form of a run-through over the five-mile course, the Olympic Club's trail-layers being picked up on the way. The Order of arrival home Was : R. ! Ballantyne, S. Hall, and W. Ballantyne. After the outing the members partook of tea, provided by the host and hostess.
