BRITISH AUXILIARY CRUISER
TORPEDOED IN THE NORTH SEA. (Received August 13, 1.30 p.m.) LONUON, 12th August. The auxiliary cruiser India was torpedoed and sunk in the North Sea. Twenty-two officers and 119 men were saved. [The India was a P. . and 0. liner of 7940 tons, built in 1896.]
