ACTIVITY IN POLAND
ENEMY DRIVEN ACROSS DNIESTER. PETROGRAD, 27th June. Official* — The Germans attempted offensives on the Middle Niemen, in the Omuleff and Orlgitz (? Orzec) Valleys" and on the Vistula south of the Pilitza. All were repulsed, except at Orgitz (? Orzec), where we yielded. The Germans suffered great losses south of the Filitza. We drove across the Dniester near Jozary the units remaining on our aide, and took prisoner on Wednesday the remnants 'of the forces which crossed near Marinoffstany. Nevertheless, the Germans the same evening attempted to recross near Bukatchevus. Fighting continues. BOMBS DROPPED ON PLOCK. (Received June 28, 8.30 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, 27th June. The .Lokal Anzeiger states that an airman bombed Plock, and a civilian was killed and six wounded.
