CONCLUDING DAY. {VI TBLEGIUTH— mSS ASSOCIATION.) NAPIER, 26th June. On the concluding day of the Napier Park Racing Club, the totalisator investments' totalled £16,745, against £17,839 on the first day last year, making a total of £31,934 for the meeting, ■compared with £32,845 for the corresponding meeting last year. The remaining results are: — Park Steeplechase Handicap, of 300 soys; about two miles and a-half. — 1 Sandy Paul, 10.6, 1 ; 3 Naupata, 9.9, 2 ; 9 Sportsman, 9.7, 3. Also started: 2 Merrie Lad 10.8, 4 Leapuki 10.7, 6 Cousin Jack 9.13, 8 Paremata 9.7, 10 Country Boy 9.7, 5 Nimblefoot 9.7, 5 Dogger Bank 9.7, 7 Ruffiana 9.7. Ruffiana assumed the lead at the start. Leapuki fell heavily at the first obstacle and his lider was rendered unconscious. Passing the stand the order was Ruffiana, Nimblefoot, Counsin Jack, Merrie Lad, and Naupata. Paremata fell at the brush at the entrance to the straight, but was remounted. Sandy Pau], Merrie Lad, Naupata, and Nimblefoot led the field on the last round. Dogger Bank fell at the back, and Merrie Lad fell heavily at the last fence, leaving the favourite to win by twenty lengths. Ten lengths between second and third. Nimblefoot was fourth and Cousin Jack fifth. Time, smin 38 2-ssec. Hunt Club Steeplechase, about two miles and a-half.— 4 'The Mouse, 10.7, 1 ; 1 Bandalero, 12.6, 2; 5 Clinker, 10.7, 3. Also started : 3 Master Webb 11.13, 2 Kirkbv 11.3. Kirkby fell at the brush before the country bend. The favourite and Master - Webb were still a dozen lengths ahead of the other two passing the stand the second time, but The Mouse covered the last mile in good time and passed the leaders at the country bend. Master Webb 'fell shortly after. The Mouse won by ten lengths. Clinker t was a long way behind, Time, smin 55 3-ssec. Poraite Hurdles, of 200 soys; one mile and three-quarters. — 3 Braeburn, 9.9, 1 : 8 Sam Pan, 9.5, 2 ; 1 Kew. 11.3, 3. Also started: 6 Cornelian 10.8, 4 lifngot 10.3, 2 Vi 9.9, 9 Maniaroa 9.8, 7 Beldame 9.6, 5 Monologue 9.5. A great struggle was fought out in the straight, and Braeburn won on the post by a head. The favourite was several lengths away. Time, 3min 27isec. Newstead Hack Handicap, of 120 soys; seven, furlongs.— s St. Omer, 9.0, 1 ; 1 Haumakaka, 10.7, 2 ; 9 Irish Fusilier, 9.3, 3. Also started: 2 Mia | Cara 10.8, 3 Bodenham 9.9, 7 Iceberg 9.7. 4 Achilleus 9.7, 6 Hikahakeke 9.5, 8 Discussion 9.0, 10 No Idea 9.0, 11 I Bally har 9.0. Won by a head. Irish Fusilier was three lengths away third. Time, lmin 36 2-ssec.
