♦ Owing to continuous rain making the grounds unfit for play, all Rugby games ■were postponed this afternoon. On Wednesday a representative team is to play a match against Taranaki at Hawera in aid of the Patriotio Fund. The Wellington team will bo announced at The Post window to-night, and as the time is short the Union asks every player to advise at onoo should he not be able to make the trip. The Berhampore and Kaiwarra Hospitals have of late been in need of some source of entertainment for the sick and wounded soldiers now stationed there. This difficulty has been overcome to a great extent by the presentation of a splendid gramaphone and about 500 records by Mr. Farquhar, boot manufacturer, Cuba-street.
