OFFICIAL REPORT. The High Commissioner reports :—: — LONDON, 23rd June. 3.25 p.m.' In the Monte Nero zone, an Italian Alpine battalion for the first time encountered considerable hostile Alpine forces, apparently fiom Oalicia. They attacked and repulsed them, inflicting heavy losses and taking some prisoners. Hostile night attacks of infantry were renewed on the positions at Plava, but with the assistance of intense fire and grenades all were repelled.
