(TIMES AND SYDNEY SON SERVICES.) LONDON, 23rd June. Mr. Frank Boland, an Australian journalist, gives an instance of the fighting spirit of the Australians in the Dardanelles. Ho says that at 3 in the morning reinforcements of the enemy were malting a general attack. Their machine guns had ceased firing, the bullets flying over high. Observers reported thaifc the enemy were advancing en masse. " Get them, boys !" said at platoon officer '. calmly. For hours our rifles had been barking from loopholes, and now the men rose, with shoulder to the parapet, 'and jostled for places. They laughed like happy children as they saw the effect of their fire. When the rifles ran hot, the supports would^ grudgingly hand up their own, with an imploring : " Come down, Bill, and let • me have a shot." Then Bill would reply, very angrily : " Don't pull at my legs, you silly josser. You made me miss a big blighter not fifty yards off."
