OPEN-AIR TREATMENT
WONDERFULLY SUCCESSFUL. (TtMIS AMD BIDNBT SON BEHVICKS.) LONDON, 22nd June. An experiment in the open-air treatment of wounds at Cambridge has proved that "the greatest success is attained in wards which are wide open to the winds and the sun. It is recognised that it is not the wounds, but the germs entering them,, which kill the patient. Of 10,944 patients treated, who were suffering from septic wounds, tetanus, pneumonia, and typhoid in Flandera, only 85 deaths are recorded.
