A HOLIDAY AT ROTORUA.
When visiting Rotorua stay at Brent's Bathgate House, where the charm of a perfect environment combines with the highest note in luxury and comfort. New Zealand's Wonderland attracts many health and sight seekers from almost every known part ' of the globe, and Bathgate House, Rotorua's leading private hotel, so ably conducted by Mr. S. T. It is conveniently situated, being in close proximity to the baths and beautiful sanatorium grounds and public parks, etc. Although Bathgate House is of one story throughout, it is as fine an establishment of the kind as can be found in any part of the world. Entering the large hall the visitor cannot fail to be impressed with the tone of, comfort, elegance, and refinement manifested in tho _ , elaborate appointments, the luxurious accommodation being particularly appreciable after the discomforts of the long railway journey from Auckland or Frankton Junction. The bedrooms, providing accommodation for over 100 guests, are all well lighted and ventilated, while the numerous drawing, reading, and smoking rooms afford an object lesson in artistic furnishing. The establishment is lit throughout with electric light, and every possible convenience is provided which goes to enhance the pleasure and comfort of the guests. The . diningroom is capable of seating something like 150 persons and is furnished in a manner in keeping with the high-class nature of the house. In winter time an English hall stove enables tho room to be kept at an even temperature throughout, and no matter how cold the outer atmosphere may be Mr. Brent's diningroom is delightfully warm and pleasant, thus enabling guests to enjoy their meals in the greatest comfort. The liigh-class character of the cuisine is probably one of tho best features of the establishment, and has conduced more than anything to- its great popularity.
