ACTION AGAINST AN INSURANCE COMPANY
*• — - SEQUEL TO A CLERGYMAN'S \ DEATH. (it mwiurn— fmss association.) DUNEDIN, 21st June. The Supreme Court> was occupied today with the action the Public Trustee, as executor of tho will of the late Re\ . \ E. L. Woodhouse, versus the National Insurance Company, to recover £500, amount of an accident insurance policy. Mr. Woodliouse, an Anglican minister, , was found drowned iti the Mplyneaux a year ago. The company disputes the claim mainly on the ground th#.t it has not been proved that death was accident a I within the meaning of tho term of tho policy After the case had been gone into at some length judgment was consented to for the sum claimed. Certain, costs were allowed, but witnesses' expenses and 006(5 of second counsel were refused, his Honour adding that information throwing light on particulars concerning tho death of Woodhouse should have been communicated to tho defendants by tho plaintiff.
