THE NATIONAL RESERVE
*O IHB BBITOR. Sir,~Whilst recognising that a. uniform is at present neither necessary nor practicable, I would suggest that this «mit would preeent a much smarter and more military appearance by adopting the English plan of wearing % special •service _ cap when on parade. Such a cap (with distinguishing badge) of approved design could doubtless be sup plied to the executive at a nominal cost, and if issued to members at, cay, Is or co above cost, with the object of giving the surplus to the National Fund, I feel sure all members would be glad of the opportunity thus afforded of improving the appearance of the corps, and' at the same^lime contributing to the fund, and the shillings thus collected would in the aggregate amount to no inconsiderable sum. — I am, etc., 1 RESERVIST. Wellington, 16th June.
