ARMY PROMOTIONS
BRIGADIER-GENERAL ROBIN. Colonel A. W. Robin, C.8., C.M.G., T.D., N.Z. Staff Corps, who has been filling the post of General Officer Commanding the New Zealand Defence Forces since September last, has been promoted to the rank of BrigadierGeneral. Lieut.-Col. C. M, Gibbon, p.s.c. Imperial General Staff, who has been act* ing as Chief of the General Staff since the beginning of the war, has also been promoted to the rank of colonel in the New Zealand Defence Forces.
A social evening will bo held in Green- | street Hall, given by Wellington South ladies, on Tuesday evening. J
