At the Epsom Summer Meeting the Oaks Stakes, of 5000 eovs, for three-year-old fillies, 9.0 each, one mile and ahalf, resulted as follows :—: — Mr. L. Neumann's b f Snow Marten, by Martagon— Siberia 1 Mr. J. B. Joel's br f Bright, by Snndridge — Doris 2 Mr. E. Hulton's eh f Silver Tag, by Sundridge^ — Silver Tag 3 [According to Ruff's Guide ths Oaks Stakes was set down for decision on the 4th met., but was put forward a fortnight on account of the war. The winner, Snow Marten, was among the unplaced division in the Two Thousand Guineas, run on the last day of April, the places in the mile race being filled by Vancluse, Silver Tag, and Bright. Snow Marten eported silk on six occasions as a two-year-old, and was successful once in tho T.Y.O. Plate at Newmarket in September. Bright is a halfsister to Sunstar and Princess Dome. Silver Tag ran third in tho One Thousand Guineas.]
