♦ J GRAND NATIONAL WEIGHTS (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received June 18. 11.16 a.m.) MELBOURNE. This Day. In the V.R.C. Grand National Steeplechase Tim Doolan has been handicapped at 10.10, The Pole 10.7, and Fireworks 10.5. (Tim Doolan, who has not started since the last New Zealand Grand National Meeting, appears very well treated compared with the other New Zealanders, who are not in the same class. Tim Doolan won the Grand National Steeplechase carrying 10.2, and fell on his only other appearance at the Meeting, in the Lincoln Steeplechase, carrying 11.9. A. J. M'Flynn rode him at Riccarton, and will also be in the saddle at Flemington. Tim Doolan has been some months in Australia, and should be well acclimatised by 10th July. The V.R.C. race k worth 1750 soys, and is. run over a distance of three miles and a furlong.]
