Steadtnan, a son of the exMayor of 'Wha-ngarei, was killed at the Dardanelles. L.-Cpl. W. G. Mattheson (Port Chalmers) was wounded ; Pte. William Shadriclc Coleman (Wellington) was killed ; and Capt. A. G. Watson and Pte. R. Stone, both New Zcalandcrs, were killed. FOOTBALLER KILLED (Received May 29, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Private HaTold George, killed at the Dardanelles, was a prominent Rugby Unionist. He toured New Zealand. List No. 37, published yesterday, the name of the next-of-kin of Trooper Archibald Cranley Simpson, of the Auckland Mounted Regiment. ' who had died of wounds, was given in error as Miss E. M. Maud. Pukernro, Cambridge. The next-of-kin is William Simpson, Ohaupo, father.
