OFFERS OF ACCOMMODATION., The Minister for Public Health and. Hospitals (the Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes), whose Department has in hand the matter of providing accommodation for thosa invalid and convalescent soldiers that will not be able to return immediately to their own homes, has, received many generous offers of accommodation from all parts of the Dominion. Tho offers from the Wellington provincial district are as follow t—Drs. W. E. Herbert and H. Hardwick Smith, Wellington— Ten beda in their new private hospital in Bowenstreet for acute cases, either officers or men. likely to benefit from hospital treatment, with free professional services ; Mr. C. H. tzard— Residence at Lower Hutt to accommodate 17; Mrs. Walter G. Johnston, uighden,' 1 Pahnerstoit North; Mr. and Mrs. Hope Gibbons— Residence at Wlanganui, which they, offer to equip, staff, and run as a con-* valescent home for at least twenty men ; Mrs. Hadfield. "Lindale," WellingtonOffers to provide for three convalescent men ; Wellington City Council— A con* valescent hospital ; Wellington Hospital Board— A large house in Clifton-terrace, capable of accommodating 50 patients, and also a large house in Hobson-street ; Mr. A. Levy, 117, Customhouse-quay, Wellington— beaside cottage "Waimate," Rona Bay ; Marine Engineer's Institute —Their new building in Wellington, and to furnish nurses' quarters or provide a number of hospital beds j Onslow Borough Council (per Mr. C. C. Crump, Mayor)— Khandallah Public Hall ; Mr. A. C. Caughey, Auckland— His residence of 21 rooms in Auckland as a convalescent, hospital ; Mr. and Mrs. F.. Logan, Napier — Their dwelling in Fitzroy-road, Napier, for twelve months, with a donation of £200 during that period towards tho expense of maintaining nurse and staff ; Mrs. Morisoo, matron of "Woodside" Private Hospital, Burleigh-street, Auckland — Three beds in her private bos-* pital.
