ANGLICISING SAMOA
BRITISH CURRENCY. The Minister of Defence (Hon. J. Allen) informed a Post reporter this aiternoon that as and from .Ist .May British currency had displaced German currency at Samoa. The '> change is a step towardsthe Anglicising of the island. German notes and coin no longer, hold good ; they are replaced by British notes and gold and silver and copper and postal orders ; and if anybody desires to send money, to a friend in Samoa .he can do so through the New Zealand Post Office. A branch of the Bank of New. Zealand has also been established at Samoa;
