N.S.W. AGENT-GENERAL-SHIP
HON. B. R. WISE ACCEPTS IT. SYDNEY, sth May. The Premier, Mr. Holman, announced that £he Hon. B. R. Wise had accepted the Agent-Generalship of New South Wales. [Mr. Wise, born in February, 1858, has distinguished himself both in law and politics. He has been a member of several New South Wales Ministries, and was a front ranker in the national movement for Australian Federation. He sat in the Convention which framed the Constitution in 1897-98, but missed election te the Commonwealth Parliament. Sir Timothy Coghlan, the retiring AgentGeneral, has represented New South Wales in London since 1905.]
