RICHMOND FREE KINDERGARTEN
The adjourned meeting of parents and rosidonts interested in the work of th© Richmond Free Kindergarten Union was held in tho Church Hall, Maranui, Usfc evening, Mr. Blako presiding. Correspondence was received from Mias H. Hiscock, secretary of the union, requesting tho appointment of a delegate to represent the local committee on the board. Mrs. A. Moran w*b eventually elected. Good progress waa reported and many residents have already promised subscriptions towards tho school, any subscriber of 5s or more per year becoming an associate of tho union at tho annual meeting. Miss Riley gave an instructive address _on Kindergarten work, during the evening. The following committee was eet up to act in the interests of the union: — Mesdames Moran,- Cavill, M'Kenzie, Price, and Whitehoad, Miss G. Molvillo, and Messrs. Sando, Blake, Hall, Price. Sawtell, Mostyn. and Newberry, with Miss D'Oyley, an D\-officio member, and Miss Riley by invitation. Mr. S. L. Hall was elected secretary, and Mr. Herb. Price treasurer. A vote of thanks was accorded Mibs Riley * tad Miss Q'Qyley, ,Hto the chairmau.
