RELIEF OF OVERSEAS POOR
FINAL MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. In the absence of Mr. C. P Skerrett, E.C., at Christchurch, Mr. J. B Hatfcourt presided at the final meeting <of tho executive of the Poor of Great Britain, Ireland, and Belgium, Raliof Fdnd in Wellington this morning. The balance-sheet, showing £9297 7s 5d in hand, was adopted. The following motions were carried: — 1 That the-treasurer be instructed to paytho balance in hand, £582 10s, for British relief to His Excellency the Governor for transmission to H.R.H. the Prince of , Wales' Fund, and the amount available for Belgian relief, £6500 I9s sd, bo paid to .the executive of the Dominion Belgian TJolief .Fund, Wellington Provincial Branch, subject to such reasonable conditions a» tho treasurer may require for the protection of those districts whioh have been contributors _ to the fund. _ 2. That the balance standing to the credit of tho general fund, £2213 18s. be devoted for Belgian relief only. 3. That votes of thanks be passed to all who have assisted the fund." 4 That in accordance with resolution passed at a meeting of the general committee on 19th April, the fund be now dosed, and the committee dissolved. ,
