BYLAW BREACHES
For breaches of the bylaws, relating to motor-cars fines were imposed at the Magistrate's Court to-day by Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M., as follow: — Arthur Charles £1, costs 7s ; Eric Johnston ss, costs 7s ; Arthur Douglas Cook ss, costi 7s; Witcombe and Pym, 10s, costs 7s; Levin Henry Hall ss, costs 7s; J. GPhillips ss, costs- 7s; James Moxham, costs 7b. For riding a bicycle without a light at night Matthew Wellington was fined ss, costs 7s. Penalties were also imposed upon the following for allowing horses or cattle to wander upon the roads, mostly at Island Bay and Happy Valley, contrary to the by-laws: — John Stewart jun., convicted and discharged ; John Hamilton 10s, costs 7s j John Hamilton (second charge) 10s, costs 7s ; Andrew M'Clintock ss, costs 7s; G. Bradley ss, costs 7s; Arnold Davies ss, costs 7s ; Mary Feeley ss, costs 7s; Paul Alsen ss, costs 9s; John Hamilton 10s, costs 7s'; Henry Maher ss, costs 7s; Henry Allen ss, costs 7s; James S. Bradshaw ss, costs 7s ; Florence Henrickson ss, costs 7s ; John Chambers, costs 17s 6d.
