THE PLIMMER-HALL DRAMATIC TOUR. This company, which has been specially organised to present/ Wilde's play, "Lady Windermere's Fan," and also that well-known, dramatic success, " The Mummy and the Humming Bird," arrived by the Ulimaroa to-day and will 'rehearse in Wellington for its opening date in New Zealand, commencing at the Grand Opera House on Saturday, 20th inst. The season will be for six nights.- The enterprise has been undertaken by Messrs. Harry Plimmer and Winter Hall for the sole purpose of raising money for the relief of the Belgians. •T£e whole of the profits of the tour are to be handed over to the New Zealand authorities for the funds. The company will tour under the patronage of the Governor and of the Government, and the manager, Mr. Roland Stavely, who is now in Wellington making the arrangements, is receiving hearty support from all thpse approached. The secretaries of the various associations, societies, cluba, etc., have been written to with a view ,to arranging theatre nights, and it only wants the, members of each . of these to take the cause up in the way it deserves for large returns to result. At a meeting of the Ngahauranga and Petone Slaughtermen's Union last night it was decided to contribute £25 to The 'New Belgian Relief Fund. The contribution by Miss Helyer to the Mayor (new) Belgian Fund should appear as £5 on the list published in another column, making the total £254 13s 7d. The Westport watersiders at a recent meeting decided to hold a picnic, and voted £10 towards the purchase of toys. Later a general meeting was held, and it was unanimously decided to forego the picnic and donate £10 and an additional vote of £15 to the British and Belgian Funds. At a committee meeting of the Manawatu Racing Club last night it was decided to vote £200 to the Belgian Relief Fund. The Lower Hutt Borough Council last night decided to contribute the sum of £25 towards tho Poor of Great Britain and Ireland and Belgian Relief Fund. The Hutt Kiver Board has donated £10 10s to the same fund. A sum of £3 8s 6d has been forwarded to The Posfs Belgian list by the employees of the Stewart Timber, Glass and Hardware Company. In a letter the masters state: "It is the intention of the employees of the company to make a weekly contribution towards this fund, which we trust will be an amount equivalent to the present donation."
