EFFOETS TO RAISE THE GNEISE* NAU FAIL. AMSTERDAM. 7th Match. The sunken Norddeutscher-Lloyd liner Gneisenau still blocks the mouth of- the Scheldt. The Get-mans made repeated efforts to raise the ship, but failed. They requested Holland to give them appliances for the work, but the request was refused. [The Gneisenau was probably one of the vessels sunk by the Allies when the siege of Antwerp was in progress.}
