HONOUR BOARD. Gibbes (East), 84. Nash <East), 60, not out. There was very little cricket at the Basin Reserve on Saturday. Two wickets had fallen in the University-Central match when rain compelled the players to leave the field, and play was not resumed. East and North also stopped thejr match, but resumed play after ati hour. At Petone better .progress was made. Petone were put out by the N old Boys for 154, and Old Boy* have three wickets down for 60 runs. EAST v. NORTH. j Baker and Gibbes opened the batting for East, against Nonhh, and for a while did very well. The partnership was dissolved by Walters, wl'io took a fine catch off Hiddleston's bowl ing. Gibbes kept on until his score stood at 84, when he was caught by Hiddleston behind the wickets. Nash hit around in lively form, and had 60 to his credit when stumps were drawn.
