UNIVERSITY ATHLETIC CLUB
The University Amateur Athletic Club held its annual meeting on Friday evening. The club captain stated that, in the previous season, the club had a membership of over fifty ; but many of the members were now with the Expeditionary Forces. Among the number was A. Hudson, New Zealand threemile champion and holder of two University records. The club proposed to carry on with the numbers that remained, and by encouraging thorough .training to make all members physically efficient for any emergency. The following officers were elected :— • President, Professor Adamson ; vice-pre-sidents, Professors Brown, Easterfield, and Hunter, Drs. Marsden and Someryille, and Messrs. J. P. Firth, George Dixon, and P. A. De la Mare ; club captain, Mr. A. B. Sievwright ; hon. secretary, Mr. I. C. Robinson; hon. treasurer, Mr. W. N. Matthews ; committee, Messrs. H. W. Williams and R. Kay ; auditor, Mr. C. H. E. Strack ; delegates to the Wellington Centre, N.Z.A.A.A., Messrs. A. T. Duncan and A. E. Sievwright. i i in ' I
