PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE. . (BY TBI.EOR4PH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) EKETAHUNA, 16th February. The annual conference of the Wellington District Oddfellows, Manchester Unity, opened this afternoon. About forty delegates^are attending the conference, aand were accorded a civic welcome by the Mayor. The proceedings are presided over by Pro. G.M. Brother Guy, of Wellington. The conference concluded its deliberations this evening. Levies were fixed the same as last year, and the secretary's salary increased by £13 per annum. Officers were elected as follows :— Prov. Grand Master, Bro. J. S. Wiley; Deputy G.M., Bro. G. M. Satek; Relieving Officer, Bro. W H. Modeley; editor and book-keeper, Bro. A. Perrin; management committee, Bro. Clark, P.G., W. O. French, P.G., D. C. Holmes, P.G., A. J. Ibbotson, P.P.G.M., W. H. Modeley, P.P.G.M., G. Perrin, P.P.G.M. . EKETAHUNA, This lsay. The Oddfellows' annual district meeting passed a resolution protesting against the railway accommodation provtded for the delegates. The following Arbitration Committee was appointed : — Bros. Guy, Perrin, Powell, Salek, Guise, Ibbotson. Read, Holms, O'Sullivan, Madeley, Bennett, and Clark. The next annual meeting will be held in Wellington, at the Antipodean Lodge, in February, 1916. The matters of Purple Lectures and Past Officers 1 degrees were left in the hands of the District Management Committee. The question of uniform bookkeeping was referred to the board directors for recommendation as to a system for the whole of New Zealand. The subject of provision of a central fund to maintain members while in hospital was referred to the District Management Committee, to report to next conference. The delegates were entertained last night by, the local lodge.
