WOOL SALES

At the wool sales 125,000 bales "were sold to Home buyers and 3000 for the Continent; held for next sale, 16,800 bales. Arrivals for next series total 277,000 bales, brought forward 139, available 155. The Bank of New Zealand lias received the following telegram, dated Bth instant, from its London office: — "Wool sales close veiy firm. Prospects for crossbreds appear favourable."
