RUSSIAN SUBMARINES

STOP TRAFFIC' BETWEEN SWEDEN AND GERMANY. COPENHAGEN/ 27th January. Several Russian submarines unexpectedly appeared at Rugen (where the cruiser Gazelle was severely damaged by a- torpedo), and the traffic between Sweden and Germany was stopped. Twelve large submarines were built at Petrograd during the past year, and it is hoped it will be possible with theee to stop the imports of copper and petrol into Germany via Scandinavia.
