(Received January 28, 12.50 p.m.) LONDON, 27th January. •The Secretary for India (Marquis of Crewe) has informed the High Commissioner for Australia (Sir George Reid) that India would be unable to promise the Dominions preferential treatment in the purchase of copper for Indian ordnance, but had already purchased Australian copper, and would be glad to do so in 1915. Broken Hill had been requested to tender for lead supplies.
