' There has been a severe gale, and the» steamer Canada Cape is ashore in Suva Harbour, but ie not damaged, Communication with the Labasa wireless station is interrupted. [The Canada Cape, a steel scvew steamer of 4283 tons, gross register, built for Messrs. H. and C. Grayeon, Ltd., Liverpool, in 190<*. is in charge of Captain A. 15, Friend. The vessel, which has been chAvtercd by the Union Steam Ship Oompith.v, Ltd.. for conveying cargo from Pacific Slopp ports to New Zca'and and Australia, first visited Wellington about two years ago. when she brought a general cargo From Sau 'Francisco. On the present occasion the Canada Cape was loading sugar Rt Lftiitoka (Fiji) for Vancouver. 1
