MARANUI SURF CLUB
The annual meeting of the Maranui Surf Club, held at Lyall Bay last night, was well attended. Mr. Thomas Ronayne, vice-president, was in the chair. Tho report and balance-sheet jvcre adopted. Morgan wl'lo electee] life members of the club. It was resolved to open the season quietly, and In the near future a date will be fixed. Tbo Chairman, in responding to a vota of thanks, congratulated the club on keeping the beaches safe for children and others^ and expressed the opinion that the City Council should subsidise tho club. If it were not for its efforts tho Lyall Bay trams would certainly not bo so well patronised,. (
